ARCH SXSW...
One of the things I wanted to do whilst out at SXSW was make a visit to the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH). A large centre for the homeless that houses on average 500 men and women on a daily basis. I was interested to get their views on the SXSW conference and see how it affected the homeless and needy. With an average of 50000 people signed up for the Interactive, Film and Music events, the city is mobbed by geeks and musos from all over the world, spending money on tech, booze and...
Unfortunately, time was not on my side and I was unable to spare the time for a visit but I did manage to catch Mark Horvath, moments after winning the pepsi refresh SXSW challenge, a $50000.00 prize, for his website invisiblepeople.tv which uses the power of video to tell the stories of homeless people from across the US.
