We were lucky enough to be sponsored with some tech by the lovely folks at Cradlepoint to take with to SXSW to give away to some deserving bloggers and Video geeks.

They supplied us with 10 Cradlepoint personal wifi hotspots. Over the 4 days of the SXSWinteractive convention we ran a series of competitions in the corridors and around the stands and managed to find some folks who were truly deserving of the kit as well as a few that could revolutionise their working lives with these little gems!

Unlike the humble mifi, these units have full web administration and encryption frontends and can host up to 32 devices simultaneously.

Hopefully the videos we managed to shoot with a few of the winners will help to market this awesome company and help ramp up the sales of these fantastic devices. One of the features I like most is the addition of an in car charging device which means I can "surf the net" on my macbook whilst in the car on those long dreary journeys.
